Baby Shower Tea Party

A Baby Shower Tea Party will lend a calm, peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere ~ just what a first time Mother needs.

This doesn't mean no fun! Quite the contrary! It is the hostesses job to make sure the expectant mother is comfortable and doesn't feel too overwhelmed.

Having a Large Baby Shower Tea Party?

Unless you have a very spacious home, you may want to consider renting a hall for your baby shower. Being creative can help you find lots of places that are low cost. Our local Senior Center facility rents for $35 for 4 hours or $50 for the whole day, plus we can have use of the kitchen without extra charge. Very reasonable compared to renting a traditional hall.

Local banks, Knights of Columbus, and VFW centers also have large rooms that may be rented. The banks do not usually have kitchen facilities, but do have counter space and usually a sink and lots of plug-ins. Also consider local parks. They have pavilions or gazebos that often have plug-ins too.

Having a Small Baby Shower Tea Party?

Like a smaller bridal shower , this can be less stressful for the guest of honor. A smaller shower is ideal for a home setting. Individual showers given the Mother-to-be are becoming quite vogue. So the new Mother isn't overwhelmed, ladies from work, the gym, clubs, neighborhoods, college, old friends from your hometown, or the couples from the wedding party might like to have a baby shower for her.

Even if there is a large shower planned with all invited, each club or group might like to celebrate with the expectant mother at one of their regular meetings.

Preparations

You will find tea party suggestions galore in the following pages. Your whole menu can be taken care of from our recipe section. Take into consideration any special dietary requirements of the expectant mother.Plenty of ideas for party favors, invitations, crafts, games, etiquette and gift ideas will help you have your party planned in no time.
