Back to School Celebration

I am a 2 year older (Pre-school) teacher. When I learned a former "student" of mine was leaving our learning center for first grade and her sister, a current "student" was leaving for another center closer to her sister's school, I decided to have a tea party. They live a few miles from me and always asked to visit my house.
I am having a lunchtime tea with peanut butter and jelly and peanut butter and strawberry cream cheese sandwiches as well as other "grownup" sandwiches. I am making "apple" cupcakes using a spice cake recipe and decorating them with red frosting and a mint leaf and stem.
The favors include crayons, etc in a pencil box and a few apple scented votives for mom.
The girls can use their new supplies to make some arts/crafts and we can sing "I'm a Little Teapot" and other songs and poems about tea for children.
Sheila's Reply:Dear Candace,
That is such a sweet farewell offering for the little girls! What great ideas for their party favors. Something they will enjoy using and they will think of you and your tea party every time they get out their crayons and pencil boxes!
Tea parties truly do create lasting memories the girls will treasure.
Amazon offers lots of unique
Children's Tea Set
to use at your party or a sweet
Mini Tea Set
that is great to also give as a gift or a door prize!
