Easy Teacup Carrier/Tote

by Tammy T.

Tea for One Teacup and Tea Pot

Tea for One Teacup and Tea Pot

Question: I need a simple tote pattern. My sewing skills are very basic, but I am on a very limited budget. Therefore, I need to make my own tote. I will be using it for a Rendezvous this month. So, my time is very limited as well. If you could send more info I would appreciate it very much.

Answer: Well, I have looked and looked, but can't seem to find one that is basic with little sewing involved.

I did however find one from Marmalady's site for a pattern.

I do have a suggestion for you though! You could use a China Storage container, dress it up with some hot glue, ribbons, lace and flowers and you will have a fabulous carrier! Get some of the extra Felt Plate Protectors to add some cushion between the saucer and cup and you are done!

Don't think it will be enough protection? Add some extra quilting batting or some Peel & Stick Foam Sheets. The foam is great because you just cut to size, peel and stick on the inside of your carrier!
