Should I take a gift to the hostess?

Answer:Hello and thank you for your hostess gift question! It is a question that plagues guests all the time!

For a normal afternoon tea party, a gift is optional. For a high tea that is like a dinner, I would recommend a gift, but there is certainly no reason to be extravagant... you may out-do your hostess and that is never good! ;-)
