Invitation wording for bridal tea party
Question: How would I word the invitation, or ask the guests to bring their own teacup and saucer.
I'm throwing a Bridal Shower Tea Party and I've not enough to go around. I heard that it's OK to ask them to bring their own, I just don't want it to sound like I'm asking them to bring a teacup and saucer as a gift for the bride.
Answer:Thank you for your inquiry!
It is a really fun thing to ask each gust to bring their own teacup and saucer. When ordering invitations or writing them out, phrase your request something like this:
'Make sure to bring your special teacup and saucer to use for the bridal tea shower!'
Or like this:
'Please bring your favorite teacup and saucer to use at the bridal tea. Have an interesting story about it or a sentimental remembrance attached to it? We will be giving a door prize for the most interesting tale.'
Make sure you always have extras on hand for the guests who forget theirs!
