Tea Cup Carrier/ Tote, Bag or Box?

Question:I'm invited to a Coronation Tea for Red Hatters, they ask we bring our own Tea cup & saucer. How should I carry my Tea cup with me? In a box or a bag?

thanks

Answer:Hello, and thank you for your inquiry!

You can carry your tea cup and saucer in anything that will hold it securely. There are some carriers specially designed for this purpose and will suit your needs very well. Most tea cup carriers will have a separate compartment for the saucer, and one for the cup. The padding/separating material (sometimes cardboard is used) is usually very good in these to help prevent breakage. Make sure to ask your merchant any questions about the padding and other materials you may have. N.B. Nothing is fool-proof when your precious tea cup is dropped or banged regardless of padding. So, watch your step! ;-)

There are of course other options available, even patterns to make your own if you have the time and inclination. Hope this helps with your decision of what to use.

The best to you,
